Here is our Jiraiya keychain that is specifically designed to look like Jiraiya’s headband from Naruto.

What you’ll notice about this keychain is that its different from other headbands. Jiraiya’s headband is unique, due to the two horns it has at its top along with the symbol on the plate not representing a village but the kanji for “oil” (abura), denoting his affiliation with Mount Myoboku.

Jiraiya is one of Konohagakure’s Sannin — one of the three legendary ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village. He’s known not only for his exceptional skills in battle but also for being a hermit, pervert, and author of a best-selling romance series.

The legendary three (sannin) consist of Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. After graduating from the Ninja Academy, all three of them were teammates under the leadership of Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Later on, Jiraiya discovered Mount Myoboku, which is the home of the toads. Here he was taught the sage arts (senjutsu) by Fukasaku. During his stay at Mount Myoboku, Jiraiya received a prediction from the Great Toad Sage that he would meet the Child of the Prophecy and travel the world. The kicker was that Jiraiya would have a great influence on this child with a contingency: either the child would go on to save the world or to destroy it, based on Jiraiya’s actions.

Back in Konoha, Jiraiya would lead his own team of genin as a jounin, where one of his students would end up being the incredibly gifted Minato Namikaze. Jiraiya believed this boys genius was indeed the Child of Prophecy and decided to take him under his wing, teaching him high-level jutsu.

During the Second Shinobi World War the legendary sannin were reunited in their three-man squad. On one fateful day, during a battle in Amegakure, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru were the only three to survive an encounter with Hanzo, for which he dubbed them the title “Legendary Sannin”.

Jiraiya’s personality is that of a light-hearted and sociable person. He enjoys making jokes and his humor is often self-deprecating and not taken seriously. Jiraiya’s eccentric comical nature might make him seem foolish, but he is actually sharp-witted, having exception skill in the ninja arts. Additionally, Jiraiya is a great battle tactician, able to dissect an enemies strategy and then use the newly acquired knowledge against them to gain an edge. He also utilizes a spy network that traverses the Five Great Shinobi Countries in order to gather intelligence on people or organizations to assist himself or his allies.
