Here you can find our Naruto Shuriken keychain for sale. These keychains are made of metal and designed to look like the conventional shuriken from the world of Naruto.
Shuriken are one of the most popular weapons used in the Naruto series. They are one of the most basic weapons used by shinobi along with the kunai. The shuriken are sharpened four-pronged metal throwing stars with circle shaped holes in their center. While the sharpened points are used to inflict damage, the holes can be used to grab the shuriken with one’s hands to avoid injury and accurately project the weapon to its destination.
The shuriken is used primarily for throwing, as their sharpened points can tear through flesh and inflict serious wounds to an enemy. Although the shuriken can be used in other ways, albeit often not as effectively. For example, the shuriken can be used as a close-quarter-combat weapon, being grabbed from the center hole and used to slash or pierce an enemy like a small blade.
The shinobi in Naruto get creative in their use of the shuriken to assist them in winning a battle. Not only has it been used in its traditional manner of throwing to inflict damage, but also to pin down or distract enemies. Additionally, string or chains can be attached to the circular holes of the shuriken, allowing an enemy to more easily guide or retract a thrown shuriken.
Another way to propel shuriken that we’ve seen is by use of shuriken launchers. These are mechanical devices that can use a ripcord, such as the one used by Tessen Togeito, in order to launch spinning shuriken at an enemy or by way of catapult (as seen used by Sunagakure against Konoha village).
A particularly creative moment in the Naruto series was when Naruto Uzumaki turned one of his clones into Sasuke’s shuriken, in order to distract Zabuza and free Kakashi from the water prison technique.
Not only are shuriken used in many ways, but they also come in different variations. For example, apart from the traditional shuriken, larger shurikens the size of one’s arm have been seen in the series.
Some shuriken have been made to be of similar size but have the added feature of being able to be folded together to help carry more of them easier. Other shuriken can even have three-metal prongs instead of the usual four. A five-pronged shuriken was also seen used in the anime.
Another type of shuriken we’ve seen are ones having angular, square-shapes to them or even the excessively large shuriken that are the size of humans.
Shurikens can also be used by infusing ones chakra or their other techniques in order to increase its killing effectiveness. For instance, Kakashi used Kamui shurikens; Konan used paper shurikens; Gaara used sand shurikens; Naruto uses wind to create a rasenshuriken; water-style users can use water shuriken; and there are even crystal giant shurikens!
If you’re a Naruto fan and want to show off your love of the series, why not pick up something really iconic like a shuriken keychain.
